Hi. I’m Marly.

If you are interested in collaborating on a project, commissioning a work, or if you have questions, please consider filling out the contact form below so that I can reach out and learn more. Can’t wait to hear from you!

A little about my passion, purpose and painting…. It started on a whim. My bestie and I wanted to take a palette knife oil painting. We learned the impressionist style with which I fell in love. Over the next few years, I developed my love of drawing and painting skills through workshops with Michele Torrez, John Potoschnick, and local community college art teachers. Then life took a turn for 17 years while I started a family, raised my son, and worked full-time in the corporate world.

In 2022 I found a call for an art exhibition that thrust me back into creating again. I’ve since gotten involved in the McKinney art community, participated in local shows, and started developing my knowledge of composition and acrylic painting skills.

I like to think my work captures pregnant moments in time. Time stands still when I paint and I ONLY think about what I see. I get to know the subjects. My favorite scenes involve people enjoying seemingly mundane moments invisible to the world. I’m inspired by historical sites as well as the travel adventures and every day life of my friends!
